I’m not going to propose that I can tell you everything you need to know. If I could do that I would be selling platinum for a major record label myself, so whatever I tell you, I recommend that you filter through it and see what other people think too. My knowledge comes partially from experience, from people I’ve met in the industry and from reading all kinds of books, magazines and trade journals (like Billboard) on the music industry and other industries where I can cross-reference certain techniques. If someone seems to have a clearer picture about something than I do, please bring it to my attention, the people who read these articles would appreciate it and it may help me out in my little venture as well.
