Please ignore the dust as we remodel this portion of the site. In the mean time, we have debugged the original poetry section of our site and we have also added a new wing to this section with the premier of Thoughts on Love and Lust which is simply part of a larger collection of poems that have just been sitting around in one of Chris' folders for who knows how long. So, not much else to say so dig in.

Thoughts on Love and Lust-Featuring poems and thoughts that are sometimes soft, sometimes suggestive, but graphic it is not. We're not trying to turn this into a porno site. The poems are indexed by theme.

Down here we have the original online chapbook for this site including poetry and personal writings indexed by the first line of each poem.

She came to me in a flowing white gown...
An American poet once lived here...
I wondered what happened to you...
My Disease
Where is that gentle man...
I never thought I'd see...
Theres a life I dreamed of...
I give you my heart...
The Road to Understanding...
Why don't I believe in love...
He struggled every day inside himself...
Do you understand fear?
Mary turned so she could look...
My whole life I've heard voices...
We met one day as I was walking...
It was gorgeous day out...
I am in a box...
I'm killing myself...
She made it a point...
He was as much farce as he was man...
Sometimes I can't help...
It' s lonely where you sleep...
You planted your trees...
Part that curse...
Behind men the gifts...
In life, sweet languages...
I'm full of death...
In many ways pain is my parent...
Stomping his feet on a now matted earth...
I feel it like a forboding...
The revolution will be televised...
a bunch of poem short takes
some more poem short takes
even more poem short takes
The first rays of sunlight
I hate farewells
I silenced myself and departed...
Smoke fills these dark caverns...

Here are some essays that have survived the "great paper purge," of Chris' room. The first one A Critical essay on the Spirituals and the Blues charts the beginnings of black music in America and comments on the book The Spirituals and the Blues. Next, and at least for the moment, last on the essay front, we have An essay on the Beginnings of the Blues which gives a little of the ancient history of the blues and life in the times that birthed the blues.
